What Carta Privé Is
Carta Privé is a private lifestyle and access agency in Cape Town. We build stays for people who want to experience this city properly, and we arrange every part of them.
Where you eat, which wine farms are worth your time, the yacht, the villa, the chef inside it, the driver who knows where he is going. Cape Town has an extraordinary amount in it, and the difference between a good trip here and an exceptional one is almost always knowing what to choose, when to go, and having the relationships to make it happen.
That is what we do. We plan the days, make the arrangements, and hold the whole thing together so nothing needs organising once you have landed. One point of contact, from the first conversation to the last morning.
We take on a small number of clients at a time, because this only works when every stay gets the attention it needs. Every one is built individually and quoted privately.
For those staying in a private villa, Maison Privé extends this inside the residence itself, staffing and managing the entire stay before you land.
Why I Started This
My name is Keno, founder of Carta Privé. I grew up in the Winelands, around the wine farms, in a family where travel and hospitality were always part of the conversation. That is where I learned what looking after people properly actually takes. I have lived in Cape Town for years since, and I have spent that time getting to know it properly. Not the version people find online. The chef who will cook at your villa and the one who will cook the way you actually want it, the yacht for a slow afternoon on the water and the one for a group who want a day out of it, the therapist who comes to you, the night worth changing your plans for. The things that never make a list anywhere but are the best part of being here.
I started Carta Privé because I wanted people arriving in this city to get all of it. Most visitors leave having seen the obvious version, not because they did not care, but because nobody showed them the rest. And a real amount of any trip disappears into arranging it, which is time nobody comes here to spend.
So we take that on. We put the right things in front of you, including the ones you would never have known to ask for, and we handle everything behind them. Your days connect, one thing leading into the next, and nobody has to work out what happens now.
